john l bachert ( 02/12/2004, 23:24:27 )i concur 100%, so many people are so misinformed about the idea of cloning, the positives are buried so deep in negatives it's rediculous. but regarding the idea of cloning actual humans for spare parts which is an idea to be considered, but the idea is more logical to reproduce parts from stemcell research or even a mindless/brain-less clone, which can not be considered a human life. there is the possibility that we humans were once asexual, and that maybe some higher form of intelligent human or extraterrestrial being was able through stem cell manipulation to divide(separate the female from the single (male/female being) hence! the creation of the adam and eve theory, who knows? had to really be there. sure some looney tune scientist could probably create something dasterdly sinister with some corrupt government backing and army of killers, but we know our military portions of government has done such experimentation, playing god, chemicals to make soldiers more lethal, genetically altered dogs turned into savage killers, one way missions, but they were not trained to distinguish between american soldiers and enemy soldiers. now the government says no to stem cell research, who the heck do they think they are? have a good day friends, jc
