john l bachert ( 02/24/2004, 04:43:23 )what you said makes sense and i understand all of it, however! it is still a fact that everything that we think we know about anything within our realm of existence is still all theory, the ideas of evolution and creation are just theories and yet so is the idea of colonization from some distance (near or far away) universe, planet either way there is some type of evolution involved, but not necessarily physical. i believe it is entirely possible that religion was created as an illusion to keep humans in line from making the mistakes of our ancestors, which undoubtedly is impossible, thanks to genetic habits and traits. in short i believe we may have been to this point in technology once or many times before, maybe someone/thing more intelligent than we used the technology we are now learning, our intelligence is coming full circle, why not?
