Re: Stamping out Dreams

Your heart is in the right place but being only seventeen and a male at that, honestly you cant know what is is like to carry a child and give birth to your own child. This is something you cant ever know as a male. I thank God every day that I was given the chance to have my two daughters after a few miscarrages but I must say I dont agree that I was stubborn or greedy to want my own child and not someone elses. While I applaud people who adopt children and I feel they are very noble to do so you have to know with adoption come certain problems that the adoptive parents should know such as special needs kids. not everyone is prepared for complications that come with adopting. It is quite easy to say adopt instead but for stanse I carefully watched my diet and of course I didnt drink or do drugs when you adopt you do not know in most cases what the mother did while pregnent even if the child shows no outward signs of birth defect you really do not know. most times the father is unknown so before anyone adopts they should get some good counsiling in order to know whether adoption is for them. I would not try to guilt someone into such an important decision. I am considering adoption myself even still. I beleave I could adopt a child and give them a loving home with two loving sisters but adoption is a serious step and not to be taken lightly. Alot of thought should go into it, it isnt like adopting a cat at the pound.
