Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: what is bad about cloning?....

whataboutlife ( 02/29/2004, 07:32:42 )

ok kid here are a few....for human cloning to become error free, first there have to be many errors made...ex. with Dolly, the sheep cloned, there were an enormous amount of sheep that didn't make it...they were either deformed or didn't have certain crucial body parts and didn't survive...if we try this with humans this number that "won't make it" will be even larger, humans are much more complex than sheep thus the process will be harder to perfect and many human lives will be lost. A human's life starts right when the embryo is formed…so say this embryo is one of the thousand that "don't make it" and it's deformed...born with out a leg, whatever the cast...what do you do then? do we just kill it and start again? let it live...then what, who takes care of it, what do you tell this child when they ask why they're different from the others they know..."because you were a part of an experiment...you're not like the other children...it didn't work for you...oh well...you're just different".... this is human life we're talking about!! I think this is called either murder or just plain cruelty! these humans have no choice as to weather they even want to be a part of this "experiment" of being cloned...Just a couple thoughts or points you can look more into.
