MSelivanow ( 03/03/2004, 15:24:39 )Stem cell research to me is different than cloning.... maybe I don't have enough knowledge on the subject but my understanding is that you take a stem cell from the embryonic stage. So far these Cells are harvested from fetus's that are in a terminal state... You stymulate these cells to create an organ. My understanding is that science can actualy grow the heart outside the human body for a heart transplant.... If I am wrong please correct me. If you kept these limits to this everything would be fine. But we're human we can't do that... Once we make it legal to clone, your going to get someone to pass a law stating something like: cloning sheep for livestock is ok. (Dolly) Well we've made that step, let's start cloning humans... for parts... I know that's a little cinical but what a better way to get an organ that matches your body and you don't have to worrie about it being rejected. Now you come to the point where you have to say: who decides who can be cloned, and who can't? Who's going play god? Yes, life is choosing weather to live or die. I'm a religous person so i'm going to take that stand point. The world is full of sin, our bodys degenerate because of it.... believe it or not your choice. Every human wants to prolong this. By looking for the fountan of youth. I read in a sicence magizine that it is not out of human reach to live to 150+ years old... Were knoking on the doors of eternal life.... Again along with cloning, who's going to say who lives and who dies? Sorry I got a little carried away there Comments please.
