AS for the tree it was the knowlege of good and evil, it was a test that we failed. we would never have known evil if we would not have eaten. You are taking the serpants word as to knowlege being imparted unto humanity. The serpant said God knows that the day you eat there of your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as God. God said if you eat of the tree you shall surely die. So one of them was lieing, which one lied? The serpant lied. I would be happy to discuss our theological views in more depth but unfortunatly I caught pink eye from one of the kids at my preschool and since I had the misfortune of getting it in both eyes it sucks twice as much. ha ha
