The Stowers Institute will not locate another Institute for Medical Research campus in Missouri if the state bans cloning. The state's citizens could lose out on access to a new research center which could save thousands of lives. Missouri's Right to Life is trying to introduce language that would prohibit somatic cell nuclear transfer. Despite being introduced by the Chairman of the Judical Committee, however, the bill is does not look like it will leave committee. Saner citizens seem to be prevailing.
