Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: ethical issues of cloning

libfemme ( 04/09/2004, 19:10:58 )

I think a better question is is it ethical to prevent people from controlling their own body? Who owns your body? You or the state? If you own your own body, then you own the cells of your body. If you own your own cells then you have the right to control them, grow them, clone them, modify them, reimplant them and in general use them as you please. What is not ethical is to harm another independent individual's body. And there is no other person involved unless you gestate and give birth to a new baby. Giving birth to a baby is not harming a baby.
