more to think aboutFuNky FOoL ( 03/21/2004, 14:52:22 )hey, im actually replying to the reply of "sickening", John l bachert - you know how u mentioned using a clone for an arm or organ transplant, well i don't really think that's fair to clone someone just to kill them. i know that scientists are cloning specially modified pigs with a view to using their organs for humans, and im not saying thats right or wrong either, but this is a human we're talking about. imagine if you were a clone, and someone said to you, "right, now we're going to kill you so someone else can have your heart". thats not fair. a clone would still be a person, with feelings, they would just look like someone else. And yeah, if you look at a cute little calf in a paddock, you'd say "look at the cute little calf, i could never eat that" well people do, and thats the way it is - humans are at the top of the food chain, however harsh that may seem. nobody gives a hoot about the plankton being eaten by a whale right now. Animals are one of humans source of food so it is all right to kill and eat them, especially when they're bred for that purpose. they dont know anything else. they know that they're prey. but humans are different. cloning people just to butcher them for a few body parts may be ok in your opinion but it definately seems wrong to me. people are going to die anyway, so why breed and kill someone else just to live a bit longer? there's more to think about, hey? ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
