When you beging to talk about longevity, and issues of that matter you begin to talk about therapuitc cloning. Reproductive cloning is mearly the process of creating a human from a choosen egg and the choosen sperm by the scientist in a lab. As far as reproductive cloning being legal in the United States if you will refer to the Human Cloning Prohibition Act of 2003, reproductive cloning is illegal every where. So, yes fighting is occuring right now to legalize reproductive cloning. Theraputic cloning is legal for animals and for certain types of scientific research.
