Illegal Beings: Human Clones

I say little.

helpgodhelpyou ( 04/19/2004, 13:13:35 )

I am new aand i came here because my little brother is doing research on cloning and i stopped by. as a man of God i am personally scared by the thought of being able to make humans. For every reason they have on this website for it there are also ones against it. Clearly the debate is heated, because the issue is based on morals alone. But the fact of the matter is, even if we want to at first and are capable of doing so, we will want to stop eventually. Dropping an atomic bomb on hiroshima seemed like the only solution to a difficult problem at the time, but it caused the proliferation of weapons that could destroy the world 500 times over in a mere second. All I ask is that you sincerely consider the consequences before even looking into this. Imagine what a man like Hitler could have done with the technology to create fetuses based on a mold or model. There could be 6 billion blond haired, blue eyed people walking around today (not there is anything wrong with them)! Even if Hitler didn't get to remanifest the world before he died, we could just preserve his DNA and make a new Hitler so he could continue to oversee the complete destruction of "alternate" genes.Quite frankly, life is meant for death and vice versa. Seeking to continue one over the other is pointless. If life becomes something replacable, something tangible, then we are all already dead in my eyes. My motto has always been: There is no present When the past holds no history and the future holds no hopePain is a language of the heart and a language of humanity. To pretend it doesn't exist or to try and silence it would be catastrophic to our civilization.maybe what we have to ask ourselves is: If we die, do we want to live again? If we are sick, do we want to be recreated? If we are infertile, do we want to manifest children? If our children die, do we want carbon copies of them to be reborn as if the first had never died?If you answer yes to any of these questions, maybe you should focus on the life you are living now instead of making plans for recreating it.
