john l bachert ( 05/06/2004, 07:36:08 )exactly that, i am a recovered alcoholic, 13 years dry with a few set backs early on, if alcoholism would be treated as a addiction instead of disease, less children would be affected by FAS, however there is a link to chemicals being put into beer now that were not added years ago that may be the problem with FAS, and it could cause a genetic mutation in future offspring of FAS children.
