Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Singapore Changes Anti-Cloning Penalties

libfemme ( 05/12/2004, 00:46:42 )

Singapore has reduced the penalties for scientists convicted of attempting human cloning. The 10-year prison sentence was changed to a maximum prison term to five years. It appears some of the hysterial around therapuetic cloning is dying down. However, a proposed bill still bans placing a human embryo clone into a person, importing or exporting a human embryo clone, and prohibits the open trading of human embryos, but also eggs and sperm!
