God's Will or Yours?
libfemme ( 05/12/2004, 04:06:32 )Suppose I were to say that I have talked to God, and he's told me that he's given us the technique of cloning as a gift? Wouldn't you be just a little bit dubious that I, whom you do not know, might really have such a direct line to God? Perhaps, therefore, you can understand why I question whether or not you can speak on His behalf, either. Why should I take your word about what God does or does not want? How do you know the mind of God?By speaking on God's behalf, however, aren't you attempting to play God yourself? I mean, respectfully, look at the construction of your argument.On the one hand you suggest that if some one disfavors God, it is God who will do something about it. Alright, that is understandable. But, that knowledge doesn't seem to be enough for you. Notice the subject of your very next sentence is I not God. It is Jentrack4 who would like to see "that", meaning, I assume, God punishing us. I have no doubt that you really would like to see that, but that is doesn't mean you are going to get your wish from the Heavenly Father.So I am sorry you feel powerless in this world and no one seems to take your opinion. But I don't feel threatened or warned by God based soley upon your post.
