I cannot imagine that people who can conceive sexually would have any desire or need to use cloning to have a family. But by the same token I can't imagine that people who have healthy organ would ever have a desire to have an organ transplant. That doesn't mean that organ transplants should never be used. It means that cloning is one more alternative in the medical book for those few people who can benefit from it.I'm always amazed at people who think that the entire world has to do exactly the same thing. That if glasses are available then every one must start wearing glasses. If insulin is available everyone must start giving themselves injections!The world is made up of many different types of people with many different needs and problems. If your situation doesn't need cloning, then there is no reason for you to avail yourself of it. If your situation can be helped by it, then it's nice to know you have that option.Why do people insist on imagining that if cloning is available for a few thousand infertile couples in the world that every healthy, fertile couple will suddenly give up sex and pay the hundreds of thousands of dollars to clone themselves instead? Strange reasoning, to me.
