:*) ( 05/21/2004, 03:17:43 )On another note... we seek space because it is what we do. mankind expands.. the infinite reaches of the universe is to alluring to ignore. To ignore it is futile. Mankind wars. It won't end. But at the same time, mankind loves. We can believe in what we want, we can fight, we can make peace, we can love. All these actions, beliefes, mindsets, what have you.. they won't end. To believe they will is idealistic and dumb. The first man and woman, adam and eve, loved each other. The second to men, Cain and Abel, fought; Cain murdered Abel. And so is our fate. These actions are in our history, (They aren't lies, btw.) And they are in our future. To make them a reason to not colonize already desolate planets and rocks seems foolish beyond belief.
