Cloning Clones Successful

libfemme ( 05/24/2004, 06:36:34 )

Is it possible to make a clone from a clone? Yep. The first second-generation clone in a non-rodent species has finally been announced by the University of Connecticut.Back in 1998 four calves were cloned from an elite Japanese Black bull. Now one of these cloned bulls has been re-cloned and lead to two live births. Serial somatic cell cloning achieved in mice, but attempts around the globe to clone a clone (including Dolly)failed up to now.Attempt are underway to make third generation clones. No success so far.
