Sometimes these couples can be helped by invitro fertilization but not all of them.In order to fertilize an egg, you have to have an egg to start with. But if a woman has lost her ovaries due to cancer or she has gone into premature menopause, then she has no eggs to fertilize. Cloning, however, allows a woman to produce an embryo that is genetically related to her, but using another type of cell than an egg. For a couple in which either the man or the woman, or both, are not capable of producing viable sex cells (eggs or sperm) cloning provides the only way to have a child that is genetically related to one of them and no one else. If is a fundamental right of all people to reproduce if they so choose. Just because a person has a medical condition that prevents natural conception, does not mean they lose those rights. Like any other patient, they have the right to seek medical care to faciliate a pregnancy.
