Eden had four rivers, not just twoSC ( 05/24/2004, 08:29:52 )This thread has got to be the biggest and most off-topic one I've ever seen, and I've been hesitant to add to it, but since it's got some interesting discussion about ancient civilizations, I figured one more post wouldn't hurt. This link can give you a starting point for possible locations of Eden:http://www.biblestudysite.com/eden.htmI've also seen a website that placed Eden in Scandinavia! One program I saw on cable TV placed Eden in a plain (the local word for the plain was an edin) that was in a mountainous area near the Iran-Iraq border near the sources of four rivers, two of which were the Tigris and Euphrates. The word "paradise" is also supposed to be a word for a certain type of garden design which features a fountain at the center with streams flowing out from it in four directions. This last discussion was only one person's investigation, however. At one time, Eden was also considered to be at the mouths of four rivers, which made it much bigger, since the Nile was considered to be one of the rivers. ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
