Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Bull

libfemme ( 05/28/2004, 07:36:58 )

I've just always wanted to use that as a topic line. If you want to see what a clone of clone looks like you can take the link below. Scroll down and you can see 3 generations in one photo.Sho-zaburo, the bull calf's name, was born 4 years ago. But it was kept a secret. The Japanese scientist said “It’s a controversial field, and we didn’t want to jump into a big debate if we produced an abnormal clone. We wanted to make sure he would grow normally and have normal fertility.”Scientists are not sure why this cloning attempt has succeeded. The Japanese employs a technique in which the nucleus containing the bull’s genes is gently squeezed out of the donor cell.In the past, most cloning experiments called for aspirating the nucleus, or sucking the nucleus out of the cell. This may have caused damaged to the chromosomes. Korea cloned the first human embryo earlier this year using the same gentle method.
