Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Reproductive Cloning via London

libfemme ( 06/14/2004, 23:14:51 )

According to the Times of India: " A controversial American scientist is to open a clinic in Britain this summer offering sterile couples cloning as a form of fertility treatment. Dr Panos Zavos, a maverick fertility doctor who claims to have implanted a cloned embryo in the womb of a 35-year-old woman, will hold consultations about the controversial procedure from an office in central London . Cloning babies is banned in Britain but there is no law preventing Zavos from suggesting the technology as an option for infertile couples and then providing the treatment abroad. He said: "I am in the process of opening an office in London . I will be meeting and counselling patients." (Sunday Times)
