Neanderthal vs Cro-magnon Skulls

Neander is a valley near Duesseldorf, Germany. Workers were mining for limestone in a cave when they came across a skull, and other various bones in 1856. Consequently the fossils were first called the Neanderthal bones. While Cro-Magnon is the name of a cave near Les Eyzies in the Dordogne, France, where four such skeletons were discovered in 1868.Most neanderthal fossils have been discovered in Europe and Western Asia.
