Australopithecus afarensis Revised

"Lucy" was the nickname given in 1974to the first fossils discovered of Australopithecus afarensis. About 40% of her skeleton was found, portions of both legs, including a complete right knee joint. Her pelvis, femur (the upper leg bone) and tibia show her to have been bipedal. By 1975, fossils from 13 individuals had been found in the same area. (Hadar, Ethiopia)In 1991, another expedition to Hadar uncovered 70% of skull of a adult male Australopithecus afarensis.Several fossils found in the 20's and 30's, such as The Taung Child, discovered in South Africa in 1924, are now believed to be an Australopithecus afarensis as well.In short...There is more than one tooth to explain here.
