Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: Bush

SC ( 05/24/2004, 09:46:26 )

Bush didn't approach cloning in a way that would make its benefits available to the greatest number of people and save the most lives and the most money. He tried to regulate cloning so that the pace of research would be slowed and a handful of his cronies would gain at everyone else's expense. That's economically unsound. If by "Christian" you mean socially responsible or concerned for the welfare of his fellow man, I wouldn't describe his actions as Christian at all.I don't have much respect for Clinton either. My support for cloning isn't linked to support for any one political party, because no political party has really come out in favor of it as far as I know. Cloning is an issue that cuts across a lot of traditional political boundaries.
