Once the procedure has been successful the couple has no need of the dozens of frozen embryos that may be left over. These are then thrown out by the clinics."Should we be throwing them out as medical waste or should we be using them to create cures? For our family that isn't a difficult decision," according to director Jerry Zucker whose daughter has diabetes and could benefit from those embryos.
