Illegal Beings: Human Clones

First proof of connection between female infertility and sexual orientation

SC ( 07/10/2004, 18:20:45 )

Other things being equal, the offspring of two female mothers would be harder to produce from lesbian parents, because lesbians have higher rates of infertility:http://www.eshre.com/ecm/main.asp?lan=63&typ=209&fld=2913I posted the original message because it's part of the trend toward expansion of the number of reproductive options people are likely to have. Many couples who are considering cloning to have a baby that is the genetic offspring of only one parent would probably prefer to have a baby that is the offspring of both if the means were available. As far as being gay is concerned, it's possible that two heterosexual people of the same sex will eventually be able to conceive a child that is the offspring of both, without ever having sex. If all they did was conceive a child together, would that make them gay? A lesbian who uses a man's donated sperm to become pregnant doesn't suddenly become straight, does she?
