Supporters collected over one million signitures, nearly double the amount required.The initiative would allow the state government to issue state bonds to provide nearly $300 million a year over the next 10 years for development of stem cell therapies. Patents and royalties from the expected therapies are to pay the bond off.The proposal makes no prohibition between embryonic and adult stem cells. Nor does it discuss reproductive cloning.
