SC ( 10/19/2004, 14:30:07 )I read an article about hurricanes a few days ago that said hurricanes follow a cycle in which they get more frequent and severe every 20 or 30 years. Hurricanes do need a warm ocean (among other things) in order to form, but the warming causes stronger hurricanes when it happens in the Atlantic. In years when the Pacific warms up (El Ninos), there are actually fewer hurricanes.Global warming may be a topic on which people are fed even more disinformation than they are about cloning. The Kyoto Protocol is a massive fraud campaign set up by U.N. bureaucrats so that they can have power to transfer money from one country to another. The craziest thing about it is that the countries whose emissions are growing the fastest are exempt, so if the accord is implemented, it's actually going to transfer money from the least "polluting" countries to the most "polluting" ones (carbon dioxide isn't a pollutant).
