Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Chicago medical institutions looking for private stem cell research funds

SC ( 10/26/2004, 13:46:05 )

Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, and Children's Memorial Hospital are the latest institutions to seek private funds to bypass the Bush restrictions on embryonic stem cell research:http://www.chicagotribune.com/features/health/chi-0410250170oct25,0,3089247.story?coll=chi-news-hedIn reading this article, I was struck by just how little National Institutes of Health funding goes to embryonic stem cell research (less than $25 million out of a $28 billion dollar budget). The end of the article contains some of the strongest anti-Bush language I've read in a mainstream article.
