Worth the effortSC ( 10/27/2004, 17:52:28 )"Utilitarian" is a word that has come up in recent discussions about cloning at the U.N. I didn't write the reply only for the girl who asked it. 190 countries are currently condemning reproductive cloning on presumably moral grounds without stating what those moral grounds are, and in direct violation of the U.N.'s own declaration of universal human rights. This evil and senseless debate could come to a quicker end if John Kerry is elected, since George Bush is the one pushing for the cloning ban. If the last U.S. presidential election is any guide, the whole world's stance on cloning could be determined by a handful of votes. ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
