1000yrsfromnow ( 10/27/2004, 16:31:38 )i am a democrate moderate, yes i know all things you have pointed out, including the fact that the only reason the republican party courts the NRA is for the votes, nearly every republican politition would love nothing better than to disarm, "We the People" in fact it was a assassination attempt on a republican president which prompted the anti gun control issues, sure the democrates used it, but there were republicans also wanting to take our right to own and bare arms away. it boils down to government control, i live in new york state, no not new york city!! and it is basically a police state. just like our right to the benefits of stem cell application research, and other than keeping the lunitics from using stem cell research for evil doings, our government needs to keep it's nose out of our rights. j.c.
