1000yrsfromnow ( 11/18/2004, 15:07:28 )sure! it's to want to believe that we have a living soul and that there may be a afterlife/ a next life, religions are a nice ideal to believe in, it is neat to believe that we were created by a spiritual entity, or even the possibility that we evolved from a sub-order primate, unlikely as that is, all the above are very possible, and you are absolutely right that maybe the brain dying creates the hallucination or illusion of a light at the end of the tunnel, or the out of body experience some people have when brought back from the brink of dead, also known as clinically dead, not absolutely dead just clinically dead. we can read anything written, believe anything someone tells us, we can teach our children whatever we were taught or whatever was programmed into our minds, in the end, it's all just theory, cloning is a reality, stem cell application is a reality, everything that lives and breathes on this planet is a reality, we can read anything written about our history, is it necessarily true? no!! we have learned much of what was taught in school about our history has been altered and lied about, to hide and cover up other truths the power of the world want us to know. think about this, logic and reality says that the alleged Adam and Eve were actually punished for learning the truth about themselves as opposed to what? what is the opposite of truth? according to scripture man was created by a entity, woman was created from the body of the man, his rib i believe, HhHMM! stem cell manipulation? man was told to be fruitful and multiply, we did!! then when the truth was learned by someone/something, a snake?? suddenly it's all adam and eves fault, they are punished for the truth, woman now is cursed with painful child birth, how was it made not painful? to begin with. the idea of religion and all pertaining to was created to prevent man from repeating the obvious direction we are going now(again) regarding war, greed, pollution, depletion of natural resources, already we are seeking out another planet to invade, been there done that!! that's my take on it all. there's more to theorize just as logical as anything else i have learned. peace, j.c.
