Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: where will cloning be in 20 years.?

1000yrsfromnow ( 11/26/2004, 11:48:49 )

please don't take offense to my suggestion, and i only wish i owned the internet, sometimes! cloning/stem cell application used in the right perspective and controlled situation would be good, limb and organ replacement for children born without or lost to accident or and abusive parent, and without the fear of organ/limb rejection or the lifetime of taking anti-rejection drugs making some politician or drug maker richer. i have a step son who received double lung transplant due to cystic fibrosis, he might not see christmas this year due to rejection problems. stem cell application and cloning could produce lungs from his own bio chemistry or from one of his siblings. of course there is a risk, even of the wrong people using this technology for evil things, such is life, what about the smallpox virus our cdc keeps in storage, why? what's the point? only government agencies have the right to play god? i respect your beliefs and your opinions, but if you are totally against these possibilites, why bother? to each their own. i was only making a suggestion, i'm not a dictator. peace. j.c.
