alternate ( 11/29/2004, 02:52:16 )Yeah thats pretty much spot on,its all about survival,survival of the fittest.Although we appear very intelligent, at our core we are no different than any other predatory animal such as a tiger.We depend on many things to keep what we have and survive,but in this day and age people dont like to be honest about it,death happens around us all the time and we do kind of shrug it off as if it isnt gonna happen to us,but in the background of our minds is the inner working survival system,i believe it controls all our psyche and influences our behaviour in a major way as both individuals and race.Cloning is one such item in which the aim is to live longer and avoid death,there is no simpler way to put it,everything we do is aimed towards inbuilt survival and comfort,everyone wants to be rich,everyone wants a trouble free long life and its a constant battle when everyone wants what others have and vice versa.I believe that if a diety exists it exists above or at the very least outside of science and even mathmatics,because a diety by its very definition created these things.Also a diety would be able to see the future right at the beggining of creation,god whatever he/she/it is...is essentially able to see the end at the beginning.Like take a piece of string out stretched in your hands,somewhere along that string is you,your house,your girlfriend etc etc its all there,now join the two ends together and pretend you could look through them ends like a pair of binoculars,youd see the end in one eye and the beginning in the other.Makes me ask if god is simply a viewer,like when we go to the cinema,we cant influence what happens on screen even if we were the director of the movie,the only way to do things different would be to re-make the movie.Its my belief that there is more than one universe,imagine god as a director of many movies,thats how i kinda see it. Out of the billions of universes maybe we are one of the better ones or maybe we're the worst,who knows.However if there is many universes then there is probably already clones of YOU,many different versions of you doing different jobs,metting different people etc.Maybe god doesnt object to it because he in fact has already cloned you many times ANYWAY!.
