morone ( 12/01/2004, 08:34:20 )we don't see it happening now because evolution takes hundreds of millions of years, not just 200, let me explain it sometimes in species a mutation occurs if that mutation is beneficial to that animal then over millions of years other animals within that same species will be born with that trait, it doesn't happen overnight. that's why you can't see a change. That's how I understood it when it was explained to me.
