Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Religion used against cloning

gaschambergerhart ( 12/17/2004, 14:15:36 )

I have been listening to a lot of people saying that God doesn't want cloning and it should be banned. This really annoys me because I mean look, that is putting one religion's views over all the others. Not every religion is against cloning and even those that are can't even agree on what is and is not allowable. Unless every religion on Earth, and I mean every religion, agrees on every subject exactly the same then religion can in no way be used to ban cloning. Seriously people look, the people who claim to be religious, like oh say George W. Bush who claims to be Christian, aren't. They are just using religion as an excuse to get rid of something they disagree with. Bush says he is Christian and yet we are at war. Christians follow the teachings of Christ, Christ was firmly against violence and war. Therefore if you support the war you are going against the teachings of Christ and therefore not Christian. so these politicians are lying to your face every second of every day and people are buying it. I have also been hearing about all the controversies about how we came into existence and what should be taught. I saw teach it all. With are limited knowledge of the world around us we cannot truly say one theory is right and another is wrong without incontrovertible proof. I don't say that anything is 100% right or wrong. I personally believe that we evovled on this planet. Whether or not this planet was seeded or if God created life or if it simple happened, I have neither the ability or the right to say for sure. We should learn to take in all ideas and form our own opinion givin all the facts, but not to say something is right or wrong until every concievable possibility has been analyzed and either proven or disproven. I believe if that everyone just agreed that anything is possible and all ideas have equal footing until decisivly disproven we could avoid a lot of problems currently happening all around the world.
