Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: Sanity is not a requirement

libfemme ( 12/27/2004, 20:15:37 )

Actually I was changing a load of wash. Do not try to read deep meaning into everything I do. Sometimes I just do mundane things. It sounds to me like you have an identity crisis, which considering your age is normal. Not pleasant of course, merely that it happens to a lot of people when they reach your age.I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you realize you are at the age when you are going through the second greatest growth spurt in your brain since you were a infant? Your brain is literally creating new synapses and connections at a lightening rate, like nothing it has before. There's bound to be a sense of disequalibrium for awhileIf it all works out right you'll be far more intelligent that you were before. I mean that seriously. Sometime before 14 and 16 look back upon yourself as you were at say 10 and I will bet you will see a significant difference in your level of awareness. I always refer to my 14th year as the age when I "woke up". Before that I hadn't even known I was asleep.Psycholgists have found that before the age of 12 all children are concrete thinkers. They cannot think in terms of abstract ideas. That occurs, if it occurs, sometime in the late teens. You are going through profound hormonal changes as well. Your hormone levels are changing daily, often hourly. If you think its difficult to drive while on alcohol, its even worse trying to think on testosterone. Chemicals influence your thinking and you've got tons of them coursing through your system now.You have less control over your thoughts, feelings and moods than at any time in the past. Literally. You will lack impulse control until all your new brain cells complete their connections. It's a physical effect that every person goes through. Some less painfully than others, but nonetheless normal. Or at least common. I would recommend anti-depresssants except for your age. Give your brain time to settle down. If you are still depressed by say 16, then consider medication. It will also improve your IQ.But in the meantime, hang in there. Life does get better. And there's this lovely thing at the end of the pain: Adulthood. Trust me it's not half bad. I've found each stages of childhood to be fun at the time, but the true secret is..it's better to be an adult. Really it is. And you'll get there. As to why you think you're a clone I would have to ask what you mean by the term. Who do you think you are a copy of? Or is it not a clone you feel like so much as not in control of yourself? Or your identity?I can't make it better for you. No one can. Knowing that other people have gone through and will go through the same doesn't really help deal with the current pain. But then again...trust me. Your confusion, although painful, is evidence of wonderful things happening in your brain that will make you a very interesting person in a few years. You're not alone.
