HE HAS manifested Himself to us... but we are so blind to not see it. We choose not to see it. If you TRULY wanted to know a God existed then you would try proving Him rather than disproving Him. You YOURSELF would try at all costs to see: This is the true meaning of science; to prove things. You must have some imagination and creative thinking to be in the science's laire. How else did the thought of 'evolution' come about? IF it weren't for the great scientists who thought the ideas up, and tried at all costs to prove them, the facts would never have even been thought of! So basicaly you do not WANT God to manifest Himself. He WILL if you want Him too, in fact he tugs at your heart..you just ignore it. Don't tell me it isn't true!I myself, 15, a Christian since age 5...have even gone down the slope to where I thought God was just this good person that existed and he should be praised for his good deeds...but then I WANTED to know more, and He put Himself upon me. As For knowing that one REALLY TRULY knows God..this is a tough one. You cannot REALLY know, for either one is acting the Christian life, or is lying really really good. I can say I am a Christian and for all you know I am atheist playing it online. I myself can only know that I am going to see God when the trumpets sound on judgment day. So basically, either you are with Him or you aren't. Plain and simple. And you don't follow one passage and ignore the other: IT ALL IS VALID. You can choose to steal and not kill, or to kill but not steal. This is wrong as both commandments are wrong, but you are yourself.. But God wants you to put in your heart every passage. You can study John 3:16 1,000 times over and over, and apply it in your heart, and each time it has another meaning. One day it may mean God loves you, another it may mean the true spirit of Christmas, and another time it will mean something else! The Bible is an enigma needing study. Not by just anyone, but by yourself! You can't go by what a non-christian says, or even Billy Graham! You have to study it yourself. This is why the Pastor says the verses every time he says a verse: so you can make sure it is correct, and study it yourself!-Peace- Eternal
