I've read this and read this until my head's about to spin.Who is the subject of this first sentence? The first two clauses I can follow, but then "not a pre-requiste that one actually does exist"...sounds to me like saying that the person who does the awaring doesn't exist. I think I side with Decartes on that one. In order to have a thought you have to actually be here. I can have a thought about someone who used to exist. My thought exists but not the person being thought of.I can think of my grandmother. My thought of her now exists. But alas grandmother does not. Grandmother was not the equivalent of a thought.
