Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: Those RELIGION vs EVOLUTION comments... Really...

I_KNOW_WHOM_TO_CLONE ( 12/23/2004, 12:32:56 )

You've said: "It is a fact that if humans had the time to learn use of 25% of their brain capasity, there wouldn't be the problems there are regarding our future existance."What does it mean? As I understand you're telling that if we individually take our time, and learn all sorts of things until we use the physical amount of 1/4 of our brain cells, then we'll be able to solve problems of our future existance? Is that corect? What if we use that amount of brain to learn all the dialogues of all the latino-american soap series? (used that term?..) Would we be able to solve those existentional problems of ours even then? - My point? : I think that what we should consider here is Quality (...not Quantity). Isn't it?OR maybe you're reffering to: what would we achieve if we would know what (at least) 25% of our brainfunctions are regarding zones inside brain (and learn to use them to the full potential). (That's more logical. But why did you use the word "capacity" then - memory is one, processor is something else.) But: I think it is logical to think that what our brain does IS (actually) the most it can do at the present time of evolution (varying at different people - (actually it's the quantity of exercise of our brains (neural pathways)), also having in mind possibilitites of random (or maybe not random? ...) anomalies that can produce unusualy advanced brain functions). What to say - even the perception of time depends on speed of our brains (imagine someone whose brain is faster then average (really faster: I'm talking everybody-else-is-a-freaking-snail-for-Christ-sake(!) fast)... and come to think that we think that time is a constant value of the Universe... But, then: why are we this fast/slow? (Aaaa... !) - And (my point!): I think that it's because complex processes simply cannot be done any faster because of laws of physics (nature): speed of electric current, or speed of required chemical reactions inside brain cells and among (all of) them...). Yet, no creature has more complex brain than human... so I think that's about it... Just some advanced monkeys... and not "not-used-to-full-potential" superintelects...Paralel universe(s), time-jumping - I don't understand how people think it could work (e.i. I'm needing an explanation). Cloning is something else: at least you can see things you're trying to manipulate... Sci-fi, but clearly possible (not the case with some other things)...Other-planet inteligent beings - most definitely: yes. But who knows where... and when!.. We need real-time comunication means, and that's hard to accomplish (maybe quantum-teleporting comunication systems?).You've said: "i'd be willing to leave this planet on such a ship, our ancestors took a chance coming to the land now called america, and look what we've done to it! if the human race is to survive, it needs to find another planet to colonize, which i believe is how we are here to begin with, maybe not of our own accord, but maybe we've done all this before?"We BECAME here. (end of story) No "maybe". No "already done this"... Too many facts that proove that we're here first-time and ever-since. About surviving; - why's the rush? ...Anyway - maybe Mars, and to go further from solar sistem you don't have to colonise other planets - you just make a relly HUGE ship and go away (there you can reproduce resources an all, recycle things also - you just need a nuclear reactor (or anti-matter or something) with enough fuel, for energy to warm us up in this cold (apsolute-zero) Universe). Hah - Maybe it's possible even to move Earth itself (somehow). Ha, ha - imagine a big jet engine, like a chimney on the Earth - fireing away, propeling us into unknown. Now serious: maybe some gravity tunnel force field (produced some way yet to be discovered) to suck us away from to-explode-Sun, and you'd have to have huge nuclear/anti-matter powered reflectors on the surface of the Earth and lasers/missiles to destroy huge objects in space (maybe we also take Moon with us...). Now imagination is kicking in...
