Shortly: diferent sorts of supstances floating in the space came together, massed-up and little by little made-up our planet (gravity of that huge mass shaped it into ball). Later on by process of pure coincidence of unimaginable numbers of possibilities some complex molecules were formed - they were able to replicate themselves - and that's what's called LIFE (the definition of it). Different environments changed those molecules, making them more complex, but differing from one-another. The proof of that happens every time when new being is consieved. The proof of possibility of mineral matter to become alive is all around us - plants and microorganisms transform mineral matter to organic matter. As I've said: matter has a built-in property of life - else we wouldn't exist....And about existance! So you want "WHOLE 100% explanation"? As I've said - matter itself (in the first place) came to be from an origin that is still unknown (that is something opened for constructive oppinions). People just didn't come that far in exploration! Now - that doesn't mean that there is no logical explanation. One problem arises though - how to know that something is there when you can't have apropriate apparature to measure it. It's like trying to pinch-out an eyelash with boxing gloves, or trying to see things aroun you in complete darkness. Every apparature we can make is made of substance, and the thing we're trying to "see" is smaller then a unit of supstance (atom), and also in most probability atoms of that substance of our aparature are made of what we try to see (discover)... But humans will figure it out, that's for sure. I don't know when, I don't know who, I don't know how, but we will. (also I don't know how every single part of TV set works, and couldn't make it myself, but, still: I watch a pretty picture on it)Now - about wheither we actually exist or not? Well I'll be strict: THIS (what ever it is) means existance (there is no further level of existing then this, so the term for THIS is apropriate and correct). We exist. Also there is another explanation to prove existance: just like you SEE from your mind with your eyes (from your unique angle of viewing; your mind trapped inside your body - not being able to see from any other angle than that one), and you think in your mind in such way that only your mind (you) knows what's going on, in the same manner I(!!!) SEE from my eyes, I hide my thoughts behind my forehead; the same way everyone sees from his/her view-angle and commits logical operations inside his/her head. You cannot trade your body with somebody elses body; your person cannot enter somebody elses head - e.i. you cannot see from somebody elses eyes, your thoughts cannot happen inside somebody elses head. Why? Because your person (mind, thoughts) ARE(!!! and I repeat: A_R_E) your body. Bundles of nerve cells are connected in such manner that they create logical mechanisms and memory storage areas. Electric nerv pulses combine with eachother like in the computer (and you can study how computers are made, and how they work) - synapses are like wires that connect nerve cells. Simple laws of chemistry and physics are involved, but there are so many pearers of that simple laws that they create complex maze you hardly can unravel. You can't just plug a cable to human's head and access informations (like with computer). Organic computer (e.i. brain) is all warped it has no simple shape, its all meshed, but it works because the pathways are FIRMLY SET (like thousands of irregular metro tunnels under ground). Shortly: every emotion, every thought, every memory, every aspect of happenings in what you call your person is actually your body; to be more precise: the part of it all called your brain. There is no such thing as spirit or soul in this material world - those concepts exist only in our imagination (and everything is possible there. That concept is invented because people couldn't coupe with the fact that some person isn't among us any more. We develope it as a way of making things more bearable for uswhen some person is no more. The brain desintegrates with the rest of our bodies when we die; with our brain go our memories and personality. That's the way it is.Why do you think we need to sleep?All the time we are awake, the bearers of the mechanism of our consciencesness are under voltage produced by chemical reactions provided by chemicals from our blood-stream in brain. You can't keep that voltage forever. From time to time you must turn it off in order for it to "cool-off". The supplies from the blood-stream in the brain are exhausted by constant use of them. The time is needed for it to reach some (enough) level, and then consciencesness mechanism powers-on again, branching to all parts of brain in use by memories, different functions and so on. Dreams happen because some (not all) parts of brain connect with consciencness mechanism, and because not all of that mechanism is still turned-on dreams are usualy wierd (because you don't have means to understand them - they are not turned on yet) and uncomplete, blury. I've also heard that people dream in black&white, only sometimes in color; but I don't know what they are talking about - I know my dreams are always with color...
