libfemme ( 01/18/2005, 20:58:54 )At the first international Islamic code of medical and health ethics held in Cairo muslim states are being asked to allow the cloning of human embryos for research and medical treatments. Human embryos are not regarded as people in any sense in Islam as they are in some Christian communities.The proposed code is due to be adopted before the UN takes up the issue again in February.
