Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Come back when you're dying

libfemme ( 03/10/2005, 02:51:10 )

I assume that you are applying your own philosophy to yourself as well? That you have never been, or at least never plan to go to the doctor for any illness or injury in your lifetime? You avoid washing your hands, safe sex or reading the expiration date on a bottle of milk?Since the modern era (which reckons from 150 to 400 years depending on interrpretation) mankind in the west at least has been intentionally interferring with life's so-called plan. In fact public health law in the US mandates that children be vaccinated to enter public school. Laws prosecute parents who allow their children to die without medical attention. Is this public policy misguided then? Are organ transplants, and chemotherapy evil inventions? Should diabetes meekly accept their fate, and forgo insulin? Should we go back to letting hemophilic's die before their 16th birthday? The only healing that takes place in your body is when new cells are made to replace damaged or worn out cells. That's how your body heals naturally. Cloning is merely taking one step of that process out of the body and into the lab in order to help the process along. Nothing about cloning is foreign or unnatural to the way the body works now. If it was it wouldn't work. Cloning works, precisely because it is nature's way of repairing bodies.
