Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: ethical issues of cloning

So basically what you are trying to say is that there is no absolute right or wrong? What ever we do, we should do it because we (ourselves) think that it is right. Tell that to the people who were killed by Ted Kasinky (the unibomber, incase you had forgotten) or Hitler. They both thought they were correct. Don't we need an absolute right to protect us from people like that? Or can I steal your computer from you because I want it and I don't have a problem with stealing, it seems okay to me.As far as the ethics of cloning... where do we draw the line. Who is there to regulate how we use it. We have enough problems with pharmacutical companies as it is, imagine if they could start charging us for our own stem cells, for our own body parts. Who's to stop someone from cloning people and treating them as a lower class? Cloning has to many possible negative issues to mention. Yes, there can be possitives, but we cannot overlook the fact that people will abuse this system. Without regulations on cloning, we put ourselves into a world with an even lower mortality rate, something posted here as a benefit. But you fail to look at the long term effect of this. Fertility rates will not decrease, they will increase. Mortality rates will decrease. Our world population is already at 6.4 billion people, if we increase our rates of firtility and decrease our mortality, our population will explode leaving us with less food, less drinking water, more waste and more pollution. The Earth can only carry so much (it is called the carrying capacity, we see it in much smaller ecosystems. it's only a matter of time before it happens to us). Users on this site need to be careful how you spout your knowledge. Please think of the long term affects, not just the benifit to you. There are many people that use this site who do not support human cloning, from the ethical and scientific reasons. Do not assume that there are only pro cloning people here. Thanks
