Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: My objection to Christainity

Aren't you complaining about our complaining? Why don't you just buck up and put up with it?As to the statment there "will always be someone over you. whether it be your boss or a divine being," I would prefer the boss. At least employment is voluntary in this day and age. I can, within reason, pick and choose who I am willing to work for, quit at will, and even set up my own business if I don't want a boss at all. Can I do that with a "devine being?"In a free economy I can negotiate with a boss as an equal. I am selling my labor and/or my expertise. He is offering money and nothing else. He isn't offering moral advice on my personal life, telling me whom to marry or whom to stone, requiring the sacrifice of my first born son or threatening me with eternal damanation because my great-great-great-great ad-nfinatim grandfather ate the fruit of a tree stuck in the middle of a garden eons ago.I do not understand the mentality that demands torture as penance, who claims He is showing love by having His son die an agonizing death in order to the sins of others forgiven. Forgiven by whom? By God Himself! If God wants the sins forgiven why doesn't he just do it? Whose to stop him, for pity sake? It's His world, after all.If this were a temperal case, any judge who sentenced a person to serve his grandfather's criminal sentence would be removed at once! That is barbaric. Unjust. In a modern court, a person is responsible for their own actions and no one elses. Of course it has not always been that way in society. At one time, a clan was held responsible for the actions of any individual member, and if a felon was convicted his kin could be punished in his stead if he didn't show up to trial. Trial did not consist of evidence, but ordeal. Plunging ones arm in a vat of boiling oil to prove the sincerity of one's oath, only favors the truly delusional and insane. When one lived in such a hellish world here on earth, then believing that God was as capricious in his heavenly justice did not stand out as unusual. But culture has changed. Religion has not. And now the writings of a clan of goat herders, the basis of the book of the Jew, Christian and Moslem, stands in sharp relief in the modern world of presumed innocence and rules of evidence. If God truly is as He is described by the ancient barbaric tribesmen, then God is nothing but a barbaric tribesman himself. A demon. A devil. A spoiled and hellish child. That is not something one should worship. That is something one should struggle against. Either God is not as the tribesmen depicted him, in which case the Bible is a lie. Or God is as written and is a tyrant. Or, he doesn't exist at all. Which is the most likely since I am free to denounce him without being struck down by lightening.
