Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: what is reality?

libfemme ( 03/19/2005, 11:54:10 )

In order to survive, in reality, one has to be able to perceive reality to at least some degree. You don't walk in front of moving cars for instance. So in that sense everyone alive acts as if a reality outside of themselves exists. Is that the same thing as belief in reality? The human species is also capable of abstract thought, of thinking about reality. However, not every individual in this species rises to the same level of reasoning. So to answer your question, Are there arguments that can be advanced that prove the existence of reality? Yes. Will all persons be convinced by that proof? No.The questions is not is reality real, but can humans perceive it correctly? Some can and some cannot.
