Most scientists agree that the universe hasn't been around for ever, and some think it came out of a "false vacuum" (It's all speculation of course). Fine you say, what created the false vacuum. Scientists aren't sure, but they say the whole point of a false vacuum is it isn't anything, its a lack of even nothingness. In other words, its just there. That doesnt prove anything. Now look at the religious veiw. The universe was created by God. Fine, you say, who created God. The religious people say that God is just there. That doesn't prove anything. You can argue for hours in circles about this, but here even philosophy dooesn't work. The fact is no one knows. The simple fact is that the universe must of had a creator, whether sentient or not. So don't say that something must have created the universe, therefore it is God of the Christian bible. That is just silly
